A message from the Godfather...

I have a lot to get to so let me get a quick congratulations out to my niece and nephew on their baptism. As their godfather I intend to make them lots of offers they cant refuse...

First off I want so express my anger and frustration at time and the toy industry. When I was young it was socially acceptable to play with toys my options were GI Joe, Transformers and MASK, throw He Man in there as well... The toys and accessories were simple, kind of all the same and had little to no variety but my gripe is there were limited amount of super hero figures. They few super heroes I had were lame. I know look at the enormous variety of action figures availble now and curse my age. Not only that I curse the social norms that says I can't sit in my room and have my Batman and Wolverine figures team up to fight the forces of evil. I know that if I sat around playing with action figures and pretending my wife would mock me and she would tell others. Its unfair and it stokes the fires of my impotent rage...

Jon and Kate plus 8. I discovered this show a couple years ago and I have to say as a parent of one, I was hooked. At first Kate and her shrewish nature and Jons everyman, hen pecked husband shtick drew me in. Now things just aren't the same. The allegations of affairs and venom being spewed at one another is ugly and killed my desire to watch the show. All that being said... TLC should kill the show. They won't because they place no value on family or those 8 childrens mental health, they only see dollars. They are a corporate entity built only to consume money, so their behavior while reprehensible but expected. At the end of last season Jon said he wants off the show(no verbatem but it was obvious) His wife's response... If you love your family you do what you can and sacrifice to save it. Jon and Kate are money hungry media whores and they will destroy their families and rue the day they chose fame over the fortune of their family...

Saw UP. It was great, suprisingly emotional and funny. It made me think and look inward, now that is good film making. Squirrel! I highly recommend it whether you have kids or not.

Been watching the NBA playoffs and have found it very entertaining. Will I watch the finals, certainly. Will I watch next season, start wearing a Bulls jersey again...no. Oh and Lebron James, stop acting like a baby.

F*** Twillight! Vampires don't sparkle. Stephanie Meyers gives me hope that one day I too can be published.

Speaking of that... my book is still available for sale here...

Going to church today made me think about my Grandmother Jean, Dziadek, Poppy, Aunt Sue, Aunt Kathy and my Uncle Fred... I miss them. Life has less light without them. Everyone one needs God/Jesus or some type of faith in their life. I am not going to preach but faith is hope. We all need hope.

Shout outs today to Pookie, Ray-Ray, the Mrs. (Bau chick wa wa), Gibbs, Big Al, Dug, Chip, Lucio, my old neighbor Kelly, Nueman, Joey Touchdown, and my two cousins on Facebook.

Keep it real homies!

  1. Not everyone needs an invisible man in the sky to believe in. Most people... but not everyone.
