I have a lot to get to so let me get a quick congratulations out to my niece and nephew on their baptism. As their godfather I intend to make them lots of offers they cant refuse...
First off I want so express my anger and frustration at time and the toy industry. When I was young it was socially acceptable to play with toys my options were GI Joe, Transformers and MASK, throw He Man in there as well... The toys and accessories were simple, kind of all the same and had little to no variety but my gripe is there were limited amount of super hero figures. They few super heroes I had were lame. I know look at the enormous variety of action figures availble now and curse my age. Not only that I curse the social norms that says I can't sit in my room and have my Batman and Wolverine figures team up to fight the forces of evil. I know that if I sat around playing with action figures and pretending my wife would mock me and she would tell others. Its unfair and it stokes the fires of my impotent rage...
Jon and Kate plus 8. I discovered this show a couple years ago and I have to say as a parent of one, I was hooked. At first Kate and her shrewish nature and Jons everyman, hen pecked husband shtick drew me in. Now things just aren't the same. The allegations of affairs and venom being spewed at one another is ugly and killed my desire to watch the show. All that being said... TLC should kill the show. They won't because they place no value on family or those 8 childrens mental health, they only see dollars. They are a corporate entity built only to consume money, so their behavior while reprehensible but expected. At the end of last season Jon said he wants off the show(no verbatem but it was obvious) His wife's response... If you love your family you do what you can and sacrifice to save it. Jon and Kate are money hungry media whores and they will destroy their families and rue the day they chose fame over the fortune of their family...
Saw UP. It was great, suprisingly emotional and funny. It made me think and look inward, now that is good film making. Squirrel! I highly recommend it whether you have kids or not.
Been watching the NBA playoffs and have found it very entertaining. Will I watch the finals, certainly. Will I watch next season, start wearing a Bulls jersey again...no. Oh and Lebron James, stop acting like a baby.
F*** Twillight! Vampires don't sparkle. Stephanie Meyers gives me hope that one day I too can be published.
Speaking of that... my book is still available for sale here...

Champions Online released a slew of new (no new info) intervies and a blog sight that will dispense info more often. It can be found here...
http://www.championsonlinedailynews.com/
Going to church today made me think about my Grandmother Jean, Dziadek, Poppy, Aunt Sue, Aunt Kathy and my Uncle Fred... I miss them. Life has less light without them. Everyone one needs God/Jesus or some type of faith in their life. I am not going to preach but faith is hope. We all need hope.
Shout outs today to Pookie, Ray-Ray, the Mrs. (Bau chick wa wa), Gibbs, Big Al, Dug, Chip, Lucio, my old neighbor Kelly, Nueman, Joey Touchdown, and my two cousins on Facebook.
Keep it real homies!

Get busy living...
So its 7:36am when I start this blog and it seems that North Korea is ready to fire up the nuclear apocalypse machine and fight anyone who tells them to stop... Isn't this the reason we make bombs? I am sure we will just talk and talk until Tokyo or Seoul gets wiped off the map...
Sorry to get off to such a grim start lets talk about something else... oh my new dog! His name is Gibbs, he is some sort of terrier. He is about a year old or two and was obviously someone pet before. He is pretty well trained, stays off furniture and is really a pretty good dog. I feel bad for who owned him before, I am sure they miss him.
Champions-Online...nothing new but cut-n-paste interviews, so nothing new at all.
I discovered Aviary.com which is like an online photo shop thing. It is very cool and I have no idea how to use it.
I want to recommend Expedition Africa on the History Channel. These people follow the same route that the reporter Stanley used to find Dr. Livingstone, its very cool, watched the premiere on Comcast on demand and thought it was very cool.
I am editing a new book, that is new to some folks... it is not a horror novel, its more adventure/super hero type story.... Working on second edit and looking forward to trying to publish this one the traditional way.
Memorial day came and went... There was a sale involving my book, "The Black Arch" at lulu.com, you can check it out here...

I am on twitter ... @stanito so feel free to look me up there as well. You follow me, I will follow you :)
Take care till next time!

Writers Blog
Hello to my internet audience! I have come to you again to rant and rave about crap I like and you well...who knows.
Champions Online, the MMO I have been anxiously awaiting now since 02-2008 has been delayed. This is not uncommon, but still disappointing. So now instead of 7/14/09 being a day I leave early from work with a lame excuse to play a stupid video game... it will now be 9/1/09! The date is subject to change...
I am working. Yipee.
My book about vampires, strippers, chainsaw weilding good guys and the like is still available at ...
http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/the-black-arch/6770277
Oh and I am editing my next book... its not about vampires but about something else that holds my interests... super heroes. More on that in future blogs...
I say a trailer for Sherlock Holmes. Looks disposable... like most movies. Next summer will be better...Iron Man 2 and I think something else...not sure... Though Drag Me to Hell... might be a nice diversion before the summer becomes about cars that turn into robots and the little guy who likes to look at his mom naked. Yes Shia Le Poof said it...look it up.
I am out.

Boom goes the dynamite.
Hey all...
All meaning who is ever kind enough to read my blog. It has been a while so let me catch you up...
I went and saw Star Trek. It was awesome! It was everything a summer movie should be; fun, exciting, emotional and funny. Chris Pine and Urban, the guy that plays McCoy, were freaking great. I highly recommend it.
The wife has puppy fever. I don't have the fever... it's more of a sniffle. Lord help me.
Big Al is playing tee ball. While we are practicing I am reminded of the days when my father and I used to play catch in the front yard. I can still hear him screaming... "Jesus Christ! You throw like a girl!" Childhood trauma aside, Big Al is four and it's tee ball and my wife is my anchor to reality.
Thank God for my wife. She doesn't let me get away with anything and always calls me out when I am being a dick. Which is a lot.
Champion Online is still on track. They had a beta play weekend for members of the press and they released a bunch of information. The game is tight! Every time a new article is written or screen shots released I go into little geek spasms that last for several hours. 7/14/09 can't get here soon enough. Now if Atari can just stay in business and the game doesn't get delayed... Bottom line, I can not wait to play.
I am trying to write. I like most of my ideas, I don't love them. Trying my hand at fan fiction...we will see.
My book is still available! Check it out here...

I knew it would end this way...
It is almost 3am in Indiana and I sit at my computer trying to come up with a review of X Men Origins: Wolverine. I will give a brief review but first a little background...
I got my first Wolverine comic (Issue#34) at Martins Supermarket on Portage. I read it, loved it and demanded more. Over then next few years I collected current, back issues, graphic novels, one shots and guest appearances of my favorite mutant. While other characters have come along, none have effected me like mutant who is the best at what he does. I have waiting almost 19 years for this movie.
I knew I would be disappointed a couple weeks ago. I love the internet and movies and thanks to "The Mist", I will always check the movie spoilers. However the spoilers for this move were written in the X-Men movie trilogy. Though I will contend that Sabertooth played by Lieve Schrieber is as close to the comic character of Sabertooth as we will ever see. I don't want to get too off topic... I read alot about the movie... the reshoots, the internet leak and then the really poor reviews.
So today as I sat in the theatre, I sat through previews for Terminator (I am over it, bring on the apocalypse) and Transformers (I get it, cars turn into robots and ... no I still don't care) I felt a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe this would turn out all right...
It isn't all right. It isn't all bad. It's not Elektra or Punisher 2, but it is not Iron Man or Spiderman (any of them). I am posting a link to Marverl Comics website that gives you the origin of Wolverine...
http://www.marvel.com/universe/Wolverine_(James_Howlett)
Read this, imagine it as a movie because thats better than the alternative. I am not going to go into detail about the movie or its "plot". It makes little sense and I won't defend it.
Things I like about the movie... Hugh Jackman is Wolverine, he deserved better. Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, appearance to brief and character deserved a better fate. Liev Schrieber as Sabertooth. Suprisngly Will.M.I or however you say it as John Wraith, was interesting and left me wanting to spend more time with the character. I liked the opening title sequence alot.
Ok...now the bad. The script, directing, some of the effects and the pointless scene at the end of the credits (What was the point?) My hope is that if by some act of God (and thats what it will take to get a sequel made) there is a sequel that Fox sells the movie rights back to Marvel, they get a talented writer and director to put together a movie that isn't a chorus line of mutant cameos and has a coherent plot. Oh and Tayor Kitchs or whatever the guys name is that plays Gambit. I don't like Gambit, he is kind of a lame character and has a hideous costume. There is a special place in hell for this guys performance. Hey Taylor, you D-Bag, at least ATTEMPT the cajun accent.
All that said. I would see it again and I will own it on DVD. Why? Because I love Wolverine. The character has a beautiful tragic background and he is a hardcore anti-hero. He is my hands down favorite character in any media and I would watch him in anything, even this. It isn't terrible, it isn't good... it just is. Rent it. Sorry Logan, I have to keep it real.

4:30am? Might as well blog...
I should be asleep but Big Al was afraid of grizzly bears so here I am. Her sleeping soundly in my bed and me here at the computer. Is it fair? No. Fatherhood isn't about fairness now is it?
Champions-Online has a release date! On 7/14/09 I will be anxiously waiting and cursing the fact that I skipped work so much I can't skip that day to play. Not that I would play the entire day because I am married and married people can't completely crack out on a new game. I can only crack out in spurts... it's about two hours at a time. So, I will get the game upon its release, play as much I can and plan ahead for a complete crack out day. The game looks completely bad ass btw but will it be fun?
Wolverine opens Friday! Will I attempt a midnight showing... yes. I will brave the one local case of swine flu and the potential disappointment of it being sold out upon my arrival. Like I have said before, Wolverine is one of those characters that is easy to screw up because his background is drama heavy and convoluted. I will post a full review. My guess is it will be no Dark Knight, which is fine, because for a good as that was, I enjoyed Iron Man more.
Swine flu is scary and legit. Please take it that way. If you have symptoms, see a doctor and stay home.
I am going to get a little political. I am do not care if you are pro-life or not. I don't have a uterus so I don't feel like I am in a position to speak about what I would do. All that being said, I want people to stop driving around my town with pictures of dead fetuses on the side of trucks an flying over ahead dragging banners of the same pictures. Really? Seriously?
It's Wednesday and I have to work but it's only today and tomorrow and then it's Wolverine Weekend with some tee ball and a little pinch and tickle with the Mrs. thrown in. I also am going to start a new book this weekend. MY first novel is on sale here, scope it out and support your independent authors... http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-bo
God Bless you and God bless America.

420...smoke em' if ya got em!
I am back to blog... Grammar and spelling are optional in my blog, FYI and I made an error in my inaugral blog... Wolverine comes out May 1, I am off of work that day and as soon as I know when the midnight shows are and the 1st matinee is, I will be there.... Oh yes...
Ever read an article that makes you want to shake someone, well I did today! Here is the link... http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,517185,00.html and please take a moment to read it... go ahead I will wait. Done? Awesome.
This article is symptomatic of the problems with medicine in America, dare I say society as a whole. Why is everything a disease? 1 out of 10 gamers are "hardcore" and are "addicted". I would like them to do another study but just on the 10%. Test the 10% and see what percentage are people who want to just screw with the survey, because if the survey was done online, you know that happened. Oh and test what portion of these "addicts" that are mouth breathing socially backward lumps of Mountain Dew and Funions who will never A) see a naked woman in person with out paying for it of B) have no clue how to act around normal people. Maybe they preffer the game to their lives? Maybe they are bored? I think people like this have enough lables heaped on them by "normal" society... lets not make it worse.
My book is available, if you love me check it out at http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/the-black-arch/6770277 my wonderful wife is going to create a Facebook fan page for it. I will blog about how F'n hard that will rock when it happens. She rocks, though I do feel bad for her, after all her husband is a d-bag.
Champions-Online is still not out, so I am still playing City of Heroes which is fine, it's a fun game. The new player generated content is very cool and guys like me who ran table top RPGs for over a decade love it. I will give Champions-Online (CO) a chance when it comes out, it already has an edge over CoH (City of Heroes) however, the COH community is awesome. Especially all the people at the Cape Radio. Always fun and friendly and slightly subversive at times...still when I make my final exit from CoX it will be with fond memories. Don't ask me for my stuff. Whoever said you can't take it with you is full of crap.
Shout out to Lil Joe from work, Nueman (Sorry your dead inside) and my #1 fan Dave. As glamourus as this blog as been I need to close out this installment but fear not. I very well may do it again tomorrow, oh and to my one follower... YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
